About

BSC creates workshop-based experiences that link creative students and professional artists.

Whether in NYC or directly in your school,  BSC packages are available for any Broadway show or National Tour and give groups the opportunity to meet stars from the show, learn original choreography from the dance-captains, work with the conductors, even talk with crew technicians and stage managers.  You can’t get any closer than this.

We work one-on-one with each director to create a custom tailored curriculum that fits the individual needs and interests of their showchoir, concert choir, instrumental, or drama group.

Let’s connect.

TEACHING ARTISTS

BSC teaching artists collectively share more than 100 show credits and represent the best-of-the-best currently working in musical theater.

As bright as the stars themselves, our teaching artist roster includes Tony and Emmy winners Kristin Chenoweth and David Hyde Pierce, as well as N’Sync star and Broadway actor Lance Bass, to name a few.

PRESS & TESTIMONIALS

SONG IN MOTION, 2013
by Laura Stambaugh, January issue
“Show choir alumnus brings Broadway performers and choirs together”
pgs. 18 – 21

JUDY HANSON, 2011
Director, Chicago Children’s Choir

“Through the Broadway Showchoir Connect experiences our CCC singers had the opportunity to meet with cast members from Shrek and Les Miserables right here in Chicago! It was the first time many of our singers had ever seen a Broadway show. Because of the personal connection, they felt incredibly special and were able to internalize what it takes to be a Broadway performer.”

DAVID FEHR, 2013
Director, Attache’ Showchoir; Clinton, MS

“I was a farm kid from central Illinois. Because I was fortunate enough in my 20’s to work in an Equity summer stock theater, I was able to learn and pass on those experiences to my students. I only wish I had an opportunity like Broadway Showchoir Connect for myself when I was in high school!”

LANCE BASS, 2012
N’Sync star and Broadway actor

“The rigorous competition I experienced with Attache’ kept pushing me to the top. If I didn’t have the show choir background, the transition to ‘NSYNC and the Broadway stage would not have been as smooth. I am so happy BSC is around to directly link Broadway and the talented show choir community!”

DAVID HYDE PIERCE, 2010
Tony and four time Emmy Award winner

“Christopher Spaulding is the perfect person to run BSC, because he’s lived his dream. He brought the energy, precision, and creativity of showchoir to his work on Broadway, and he brings the professionalism, ingenuity, and technique of Broadway to his work with showchoirs.”

MIKAILA BACA-DORION, 2010
Student, Shepherd Hill High School; Dudley, MA

“This was…. the coolest thing I’ve ever been a part of. I could never have imagined something this great happening for us. Thank you so much!!”

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I started Broadway Showchoir Connect because I saw an opportunity to introduce all the inspiring colleagues and performing artists I know with the amazing students I have the pleasure of working with all across the country.

An active member of both the Broadway and Showchoir communities, and proud alumni of Attache Showchoir, I realize the need and impact of arts education on a student’s life and understand personally how such an opportunity can profoundly shape who they become.
